We are looking for a pastry cook to join our busy establishment located near Bryant Park.

Compensation: $23 - 25 per hour
Job Description:
A skilled pastry cook with the ability to lead, and the ability to complete the following tasks:
Flexible hours required, Lunch & Dinner shifts. (Weekend availability is a must)
Employee Must:
- Have minimum 2 years' experience in a busy restaurant/ able to work well under pressure.
- Able to follow instruction, guidance and criticism.
- Ability to complete tasks within a set time period to a very high consistent standard.
- Adhere to strict cleanliness protocol of DOH Standards, NYC Food Certified Handlers is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 20 – 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
- Assist with menu testing and recipe development.
Daily tasks include:
- Recipe production (Follows recipes as directed by measuring and combining ingredients, using mixers, blenders, heat sources and other equipment.)
- organization and cleanliness of dried storage, walk-ins, and fridges.
- Chocolate Decor, tempering chocolate and decorating skill is a must.
- Plating desserts during service (Lunch and/or Dinner)
- Creating seasonal desserts, as well creating special desserts.
