NY Water Tours is seeking dedicated Servers, Bartenders, Bussers, and Runners to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you should possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience from arrival to departure. We seek individuals with patience, personality, and perseverance to excel in this role. Your ultimate goal will be to deliver excellent guest service, maintaining high standards and providing a pleasant cruise experience.
Responsibilities:
Servers:
Complete opening and closing side-work, which includes:
Polishing glassware and silverware
Setting up the dining room for brunch/dinner service
Preparing side stations with necessary supplies
Ensuring lamps and handheld devices are charged before and after service
Replenishing sugar caddies and salt and pepper shakers
Keeping coffee stations clean and fully stocked
Welcome guests aboard and assist with seating
Accurately take food and drink orders, collaborating with kitchen and bar staff for prompt delivery
Memorize menu items and cocktails, upselling premium options
Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a presentable dining area
Rearrange dining area to accommodate reservations
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Server
Hands-on experience with cash registers and ordering systems
Attentiveness and patience for customers
Active listening and effective communication skills
Team player
Availability to work various hours, days, and shifts, including weekends
High school diploma; food safety training is a plus
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
