Il Corallo Trattoria is looking for a Host(ess) to join our team. Il Corallo Trattoria is a bustling casual full-service Italian restaurant located in Soho that has been successfully operating since 1992. This is an opportunity to join a well seasoned hospitality team with highly competitive wages & a stable schedule with reasonable hours.
We are looking for self directed, mature, results driven individuals with a strong work ethic who thrive in a fast paced work environment.
Requirements:
-Weekend availability is a MUST. Friday dinner 5pm to 10pm, Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 10pm (During training time you will be training Friday lunch)
-2+ years of comparable experience working in a NYC restaurant.
-2+ years of experience in direct customer service
-An engaging and even heeled presence with both guests and staff
-Solidified in-depth knowledge of industry standards, operations & practices.
-Fluent in English and Spanish
-Proficient on POS systems (Toast preferred) and reservations platforms (Resy preferred)
Responsibilities:
-Communicate FOH needs to management team
-Seating guests and managing the seating chart using Resy platform
-Call/Text guests to confirm their reservations
-Assist Servers and Managers by communicating with them in terms of party counts and seating so that everything runs smoothly
-Assist fellow team members with side work including cleaning tables or add chairs/rearrange tables as needed to accommodate larger party
