We, Very Fresh Noodles (high volume fast-casual Chinese restaurant in the Chelsea Market specializing in biangbiangmian, a type of hand-pulled noodles that are made-to-order), are hiring new staff.
The ideal candidate for us is someone who is kind and compassionate, a team worker, and willing to learn. Moreover, the position is a dual one involving line cooking and cashiering. Naturally, this position is best suited for someone who is both resilient (can stand on their feet for long hours) and well spoken. As to the former, we are a high volume establishment that features an open kitchen. It’s not unusual for us to amass long queues of 30 customers wherein there are that many onlookers to the action inside our open kitchen, including noodle pulling, ladling soups, loudly vocalizing orders, and so on. If you are so disposed, you might be a good fit for us!
We are not necessarily looking for culinary wizards or culinary school graduates such that VFN is not a place where one brings in their shiny knife bag to work. We are a fast-casual concept wherein the food preparation is formulaic. We will teach you the skills necessary to prepare the dishes on our menu.
