Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional kitchen experience (high-volume cooking preferred).
- Strong kitchen skills, including knife handling and station setup.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Food Handler’s permit (highly preferred).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred).
- Previous experience with Peruvian cuisine is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items following recipes and restaurant's standards.
- Set up, maintain, and sanitize cooking stations before, during, and after shifts.
- Keep and maintain inventory, ensuring all ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and rotated using FIFO practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring longevity and efficiency.
- Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate strong knife skills, including proper cutting techniques for vegetables and proteins.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
- Exhibit teamwork, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
