About Lakou Cafe:

Lakou Cafe is a Haitian-American cafe and event space in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Food/drink includes crepes, sandwiches, salads, plates, smoothies, espresso, and more! This is a fun woman-led establishment. We offer vegan friendly food items, and we aim to cultivate a family atmosphere. Qualifications:

We are looking for an experienced line cook. They will serve as the line cook for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner foods.

At least 2-years experience in a fast-paced environment

Food Protection Certificate

A positive and self-motivated disposition with the desire to learn and grow professionally

Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen space

Customer-service focused

Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Responsibilities:

Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner

Follow recipes and presentation specifications

Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently

Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation

Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment

Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Restock station to according to procedures

Pay Rate:

up to $20 an hour

Job Type:

Full-time (5 days a week, 8 to 9 hour long shift)
