Smithereens is a new, seafood-focused restaurant in the East Village. We just opened earlier this month and we are looking for one more line cook to round out our team.
You will be joining a small but ambitious team with goal of creating something truly special. We have a constantly changing and evolving menu and source the best ingredients we can find, working with fish from both the Northeast and Japan.
You'll be joining a team with experience from some of NYC's best restaurants like Momofuku Ko, The Four Horsemen, Claud, Place des Fetes, and Blanca.
We are only open 5 days a week for dinner service, Tuesday - Saturday, with Sunday and Mondays off.
Qualifications:
Detail oriented and organized
Enthusiasm, ambition, and professionalism
Understanding of proper safety, sanitation and food handling practices
Ability to work a station from prep to service
