Torch & Crown Brewery at Union Square is seeking a key position for our seasonal team! We are looking for a host to manage the podium at our amazing outdoor location.
This position assists in the implementation of security observations and guest interactions to maintain the general order of service during open hours. This is a well-paid hourly role that also participates in the tip pool due to the large amount of guest/client involvement.
The host @ our Union Square location will work directly with management to oversee and control the flow of traffic into our community integrated space in the heart of Union Square.
The normal hours for this role will be Tues-Sat from 3pm-10pm. Hours may vary based on business demand and special events.

Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Learns the general information about the Torch and Crown Brewing Company
Is a positive representative for our brand at all times
Maintains the flow of front door traffic into the adults only drinking area
Checks ID's when appropriate and denies access to restricted guests
Supervises guest behavior to maintain the general safety and security of the floor. This is through observation, communication with management, and verbal intervention when necessary (physical intervention is never expected, required, or encouraged for this role)
Assist in the daily opening setup and closing breakdown of the space when applicable
Participates in all of the company training requirements
Demonstrates a passion for hospitality, the guest experience, and beer
Always pays attention to the front door for new guest arrivals
Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the podium and front area
Greets guests in a timely and professional manner
Explains our products to guests
Understands what kind of visit guests are looking for through your interactions
Implements product salesmanship throughout the guest experience
Seeks creative opportunities to enhance the overall guest experience
Anticipates all guest needs while they are in the restaurant
Completes all assigned side work duties for the shift
Takes care of all items and merchandise owned by the company
Maintains the company cleanliness and sanitation standards
Complies with and display the safety standards of the company
Communicates important guest, staff, or business related information to management
Immediately reports any guest or staff emergency to a supervisor
Participates in ongoing staff testing or continuing education activities provided by company
