Paloma is seeking an experienced barista with extensive specialty coffee experience to fill the role of Lead Barista. The right person has a great attitude, experience working in a fast-paced/detail-oriented environment, takes great pride in hospitality and has a knowledge base of coffee origins and extraction techniques, as well as a demonstrated ability to train and teach such knowledge to fellow staff.
Who we’re looking for:
-Minimum 5 years experience in high-volume specialty coffee
-Experience with management, training, and/or leading a specialty coffee program
-Experience working with multiple coffee origins and roast levels
-Experience dialing-in espresso and filter with a rotating menu of coffees
-Ability to guide customers and fellow staff through an extensive coffee menu
-A love of hospitality
-Eagerness to learn and help evolve our coffee program
-Must have NYC Food Handlers Certificate
-Open availability/flexibility in scheduling
