KITCHEN SUPERVISOR - Quick Service/Fast Food

Job description: Ensure smooth restaurant operations while upholding high standards of production, productivity, quality, and customer service. Lead by example and motivate our team during peak periods in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. We seek candidates with robust line cook background, a solid work ethic, a positive demeanor, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Responsible for preparing all food items according to standardized recipes

- Oversee food production and prep, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards

- Ensure proper food storage and sanitation standards to ensure guest safety

- Oversee and manage the kitchen during prep and service, ensuring that service runs smoothly

- Conduct daily line checks to ensure excellent maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen at all times

- Must have intimate knowledge of DOH Standards and use these standards as a guide to keep the kitchen clean, and the team held accountable

- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as necessary

- Managing stock and helping to ensure that stations stay stocked during service

- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations

- Organize, supervise shifts, appraise staff performance, and provide feedback to improve productivity

- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices

- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

- Company reserves the right to add or delete duties and responsibilities at the discretion of management.

Requirements:

- NYC Food Handler License card (required)

- Multilingual - English & Spanish (required)

- Proficient using TOAST and 3rd party delivery systems (required)

- Must be able to work well with MS Office programs, such as Excel and Word (for inventory control and creation of SOPs as necessary).

- Solid understanding of inventory control, cost management, and budgeting

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

- Proficient in food preparation techniques and food safety regulations in a fast-paced environment

- Previous experience in fast food or quick service environments

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 lbs

- Ability to multitask in a demanding environment

- Strong computer skills, highly organized, and detail-focused

- Strong work ethic with a keen sense of urgency

$18 - $25 USD per hour depending on experience, targeting 40-45 hours per week.
