Kings Kolache is hiring! We're looking for a part-time Line Cook to join our team in Bushwick! The job will be mostly over-seeing the breakfast taco prep and service with options to learn the kolache baking process as well.
We're looking for positive folks who have a passion for authentic food, enjoy experimenting with new dishes and techniques, have experience in NYC kitchens/coffee shops and appreciate Willie Nelson as a person and spiritual guide. The kitchen specializes in making breakfast tacos and Texas pastries.
Line cook: 2-4 shifts per wk
-Weekend availability
- Some interest baking experience (preferably in the five boroughs of NYC)
- Genuinely enjoy introducing new foods and experiences to the community
- Be able to Lift 50+ pounds, stand and/or bend for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.
- Able to meet all safety and sanitation standards.
- Experience with early mornings
- Multitasks well
- Some weekend availability
- Proficient in food safety and handling
- NYC DOH Food Handler’s License not required but a big plus
