We’re not trying to make vegetables taste like fish; instead, we highlight their unique textures and bring out rich, vibrant flavors for an unforgettable dining experience.
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Vegan Sushi Chef ready to move beyond slicing fish and explore new culinary boundaries. Candidates must have open availability and be ready to start immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Managing inventory for our wide range of vegetables and other unique ingredients
- Preparing all types of vegan sushi, including appetizers, nigiri, and hand rolls
- Ensuring quality control with acute attention to detail in every dish
- Complying with all nutrition and sanitation regulations
- Fostering a positive, fun, and exciting environment through interaction with our guests and team
- Handling prep and hourly seatings with a maximum of 12 guests per seating
- Getting creative! You’ll have the opportunity to create your own dishes, whether for à la carte chef specials or seasonal menu items
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in Japanese or vegan cuisine is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn and grow with us
- Ability to attentively listen to and accommodate special requests from our guests
- Strong workspace management skills and excellent communication
- A creative mindset with a passion for staying current on culinary trends
