The Mean Fiddler is a well-known Irish sports bar with DJs every night & a menu of American & Irish pub grub. The Mean Fiddler is the flagship location for Pmac's Hospitality, and one of the most popular destinations in the Times Square & Hell's Kitchen neighborhoods.
The Mean Fiddler is seeking a full-time PM bartender. Must have open availability and able to work late nights and weekends; including holidays. The Mean Fiddler is a fast-paced, high-volume establishment that is open nightly until 4am. The Mean Fiddler specializes in signature cocktails and an upbeat party atmosphere. ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS OF HIGH-VOLUME EXPERIENCE WORKING. Applicants without bartending experience need not apply.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selection
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption or underage drinking
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Assist with banquet or catering events as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a high volume establishment; minimum two years
- Knowledge of retail math and basic math skills for cash handling
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Must be at least 21 years old (or legal drinking age in the specific location)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (such as kegs or cases of alcohol)
