Grand Army Bar is a celebrated neighborhood cocktail bar and restaurant in Boerum Hill. Our kitchen, led by Executive Chef Patrick McLaughlin, focuses on seasonality and seafood with a very busy oyster program.

We're looking for a strong lead line cook to join our BOH team. Individuals must have relevant experience (oyster shucking a must) and be willing to contribute to the culture we're trying to build; one in which our confidence and professionalism lets us enjoy our time together day in and day out. This is a kitchen marked by mutual respect, hard work, and fun. Collaboration and good working relationships are just as important to us as our food. We value our employees and their quality of life.

We are a small and strong kitchen and hope to find individuals to invest in for the future growth of the restaurant and the company. Lots of opportunities for growth in and beyond this role

Requirements:

2-3 years minimum as a line cook (seafood experience required)

Oyster shucking experience

NYC DOH food handlers certified

Open-minded and flexible, enjoys collaboration

Self-driven and curious. Being proactive is a must, as is the ability to maturely receive feedback and directions

Ambitious, long-term goals in the industry

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $24.00)
