Hiring a new general manager for June Wine Bar. Looking for individuals with experience in natural wine and hospitality!
General job duties will include but are not limited to defining and refining service at June, as well as working in conjunction with the Executive Chef making operational decisions for the entity. With assistance from the executive team, you will be responsible for: hiring, training, and managing all FOH staff, managing the floor during service, performing all necessary administrative duties, and working closely with the FOH and BOH management teams to manage the daily operations of the restaurant and the quality of guest and staff experiences.
A list of responsibilities is stated below:
- Schedule and staff the FOH team for June.
- Support Beverage Director with organization, purchasing, inventory, and education.
- Support bartenders through cocktail creation, purchasing, inventory, costing, and education.
- Support a team of professionals to meet high performance standards in service and personal growth across the restaurant and cafe.
- Manage reservation system, guest relations, and service.
- Standardize procedures to improve workflow and ensure that safety standards are met.
- Perform weekly accounting including payroll, cash drops, and analyze weekly sales against historical data to ensure profitability and foster growth.
- Manage the implementation and maintain the organization of POS.
- Ensure the cafe and restaurant are in compliance with all city agency standards including DOT, DOHMH, DOB, and DCA.
Additionally, you will work as the Oberon Group Events Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning events across the restaurant group. You will receive a commission for each event!
