Work at least 5 service shifts a week on the line at all peak hours

Hiring / firing of BOH staff

Management of BOH staff (linecooks, prepcooks & porters)

Management of BOH labor cost

Quality control of food

Ordering + managing food cost

Restaurant maintenance log (compliance standards)

Training BOH staff + managing new hire paperwork

Prep kitchen management (prep list made out every morning)

Food + container inventory (assist store manager)

Responsibilities

Experience

BOH experience

1+ years in NYC restaurant scene

Work at least 3-4 service shifts a week on the line at all peak hours

Ensuring the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked.

Preparing components of each dish on the menu and station

Reporting to the executive and sous chef and following instructions.

Making sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.

Cleaning prep areas and taking care of leftovers.

Stocking inventory and supplies.

Cooking menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.
