Floor Manager - (Events-Focused)

This is a wonderful opportunity for a rockstar hospitality manager to join our team. We are seeking a detail-oriented restaurant floor manager that wants to specialize in helping our events department. This role will be primarily responsible for overseeing service day-to-day at one of our Manhattan properties. Also, there will be time designated in your week to assist the growth of our events department. You will work with the events manager to increase efficiency in areas of administration, sales, guest communications, and event execution.

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

Cultivate a culture of authentic hospitality that supports our business objectives and growth.

Work with the events management team to support in execution of all events, including assisting with keeping our internal CRM tool accurate and up to date with our reservation management system.

Work with the events management team to establish and maintain standards of execution to ensure excellent guest experiences.

Assist in driving event sales through operational knowledge and detail-oriented execution.

Work the service floor daily in the restaurant & bar, while leading staff performance and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Maintain excellence and cleanliness of all restaurant spaces.

Foster positive working relationships with both managers and hourly staff throughout service periods, ensuring effective and timely communication.

Educate staff on event details and service standards.

Participate in event/manager meetings and company initiatives.

Remain current and compliant with the correct HR practices and policies, holding employees accountable to all standards and practices, evaluating and/or following disciplinary procedure when necessary.

Ensure Health Department compliance for all front of house spaces.

Provide feedback and guidance with excellence and hospitality in mind, ensuring that all team members have a pathway for growth and development.

Work both opening and closing shifts as needed.

Consistently look for internal and external candidates to build our growing team.

Qualifications:

An innate love of hospitality

2+ years of floor manager OR event manager experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment of restaurants, hotels, bars, or breweries.

Experience with & understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).

Knowledge of Tripleseat & Toast POS is a plus.

Knowledge of hospitality systems and processes and an ability to find the simplest solution to complex problems.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong analytical and organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.

A passion for craft beer (preferred).

Meticulous and organized

What we’re offering:

Annual compensation range of $70,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience.

Potential bonus and/or commission structure established for the right candidate after 90 days.
