Salumeria Rosi, an acclaimed Italian restaurant and bar located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, is currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Deli Clerks / Meat & Cheese Specialists to join our kitchen team. This role is focused on our meat and cheese kitchen, specializing in the preparation of cured products and elegant charcuterie presentations.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cured meats and cheeses, as well as a willingness to learn and uphold our high standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities include:
Slicing and preparing a variety of cured meats and cheeses
Composing charcuterie and delicacy plates with precision
Interpreting kitchen tickets and working with a KDS system
Labeling and stocking all ingredients appropriately
Assisting in the preparation and organization of ingredients (e.g., fruits, vegetables, proteins)
Measuring and organizing seasonings and other culinary elements
Qualifications
Previous kitchen experience or experience with a meat slicer is preferred
Interest in learning about gourmet meats and cheeses
Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency
Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude are essential
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
