Job Title: Day Manager

About Us:
MyMoon is an established restaurant and events venue in Williamsburg, seeking a seasoned and polished Day Manager to oversee daily operations. As we operate both as a full-service restaurant and a busy event venue, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in restaurant management and event coordination. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Administration:
Open the restaurant each day, including unlocking doors, deactivating alarms, and preparing the space.
Check and respond to voicemails and emails, prioritizing reservations and event inquiries.
Maintain and update restaurant hours on the website, Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, and delivery platforms.
Manage financial tasks, including reviewing daily reports, processing receipts, and preparing cash for service.
Oversee inventory and ordering of wine, liquor, beer, espresso, teas, sodas, and bar supplies.
Maintain janitorial and paper supply inventories and place orders as needed.
Update and manage the restaurant’s POS system and delivery platforms (Doordash, UberEats, Grubhub).
Coordinate maintenance services, including alarm system issues, grease trap cleaning, and oil pickup scheduling.
Schedule and oversee required inspections (fire safety, extinguishers, flameproofing, etc.).
Events & Guest Relations:
Respond to and manage event inquiries, creating proposals and booking small events.
Develop and update wedding and event packages.
Provide restaurant tours as needed.
Ensure all reservations are accurately managed on Resy and update details as necessary.
Staffing, HR & Payroll:
Assist with new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition into the team.
Maintain and update the Benefit Resource Portal.
Process weekly payroll and enter details into QuickBooks.
Technology & Audio/Visual Support:
Assist with the sound system and provide support for bands, DJs, and event hosts during setup.
Qualifications & Experience:
2+ years of restaurant management experience with a strong understanding of daily operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Canva for menu updates and scheduling.
Experience managing POS systems and online delivery platforms.
Familiarity with audio/visual equipment for event support.
Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage staff and guest interactions.
Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
