The Taco Bar is a Tequila Bar/Mexican Restaurant located in Brooklyn, Bedford Stuyvesant. We primarily focus on Mexican cuisine. We are looking for an excellent, organized, responsible and dependable chef/cook.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare entrees, tacos, burritos, bowls, etc. according to the menu
- Oversee the kitchen operations and ensure food quality and presentation standards are met.
- Must have knowledge of Mexican cuisine.
- Ability to make different sauces
- Collaborate with staff to develop new menu items and recipes
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook/chef or in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Creativity and passion for food preparation and presentation
Please note, knowledge of Mexican/Spanish food is a MUST! Spanish speaking is a plus. Food Handlers License a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $900.00 - $1,000.00 per week
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
