Chef Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and create new dishes (Italian/Mediterranean cuisine).
Menu development, following and creating recipes
Coordinating the work responsibilities of the kitchen
Knowledge and experience working all stations.
Keeping stations cleaned and organized with DOH guidelines
Maintaining excellent hygiene
Lifting heavy pots and kitchen equipment
Labor cost and food cost control.
Chef Requirements and Qualifications
Experience working in kitchen and restaurant settings in a leadership position.
Willingness to work hard and operate in a team structure
Associate's degree or culinary degree is a plus but not required
Knowledge of how to use a wide variety of kitchen equipment
Great culinary imagination
Leadership skills such as leading a team of cooks, teaching line cooks each new recipe and managing a kitchen staff
