Busser | Runner main responsibility is to assist the server in maintaining organization and cleanliness in the station. This includes but is not limited to clearing tables, maintaining water levels, marking tables with the proper silverware, delivering food and resetting tables when guests leave. Additional responsibilities include running food and assisting with distributing and polishing silverware and glassware.
Responsibilities include:
o Clear and clean tables taking all service ware to the kitchen to be washed
o Reset tables for the next service
o Monitor tables refilling guest’s water glasses and alerting servers if tables need service
o Deliver food to the tables, quickly and accurately.
o Restock service ware and other dining room needs
o Support servers by setting up and replenishing bus stations
o Ensure you are an active member that ultimate goal is guest satisfaction
o Perform job with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
o Follow directions thoroughly.
o Anticipate and understand guest’s service needs.
o Demonstrates self-motivation and work independently.
o Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
o Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Qualifications:
o 2 + years of experience working in high volume & fine dining
o Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
o Excellent in guest service, and the ability to maintain professional service during peak periods
o Knowledge of food and all allergies related to food and beverage.
o Experience maintaining DOH standards above and beyond what is expected.
o Provide legible communication.
o Compute basic arithmetic.
o Have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, carry multiple objects
