What you'll do:
- Help develop and uphold existing systems for the preparation and production of the menu while managing BOH staff.
- Ensure food preparation, execution and quality control meet Brooklyn Crab's standards.
- Assist Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and managing staff
- Maintain the highest food safety and health standards, ensuring compliance across all operations.
- Inventory and labor management
- Work closely with Executive Chef and FOH management to accomplish goals in all aspects of operations
The ideal candidate has:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a full-service restaurant.
- Able to lift 30+ lbs.
- Able to work nights, weekends, holidays and adjust to schedule based on business needs.
- Polished and personal presentation
- Strong knowledge of health department standards and procedures
