Brewer’s Row is Park Slope’s local beer garden and bottle shop! Conveniently located two blocks from Prospect Park on 7th Avenue, we're a place where people come to unwind and catch up over a few pints, a glass of wine, and the occasional bite. We also double as a retail craft beer shop offering a large variety of cans and bottles to go.
That’s where you come in! We’re hiring a bartender to pour beer, wine, and prep simple food items for our guests. Think of the typical duties of a coffee shop but transposed to the afternoon/evening under the banner of a beer bar. Ideally, we are looking for folks with restaurant experience, craft beer knowledge, and a Food Handlers Certificate. We’re looking for candidates who possess those qualities which we can’t teach; independence, responsibility, a sense of urgency (when it is required), and an appreciation of people. Here are the details:
Compensation:
$16/hr (no tip credit taken out) plus tips
Requirements:
NYC Food Protection Certificate
Must be available for weekends and nights
Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Duties:
Serving Beer & Wine
Food Prep & Cooking (portioning out food, air frying orders, etc)
Receiving, Pricing, & Stocking of deliveries
Maintaining cleanliness of the space according to DOH standards
Adhering to checklists and Brewer’s Row standard operating procedures
Opening and/or Closing of the bar
