In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.Role DescriptionThis position is designed to develop trade finance products ("TF Products")including Account Receivables Finance, Account Payable Finance, Structured Trade Finance like PreExport Finance/Prepayment Finance/Borrowing base Finance, off balance Inventory Finance, FI Trade, Documentary Trade (mainly but not limited to no-IT related product) and also establish and maintain TF Products management framework for GTFD Americas's growth plan.Role Objectives
Develop trade finance products ("TF Products")including Account Receivables FInance,Account Payable Finance, Structured Trade Finance like PreExport Finance/Prepayment Finance/Borrowing base Finance, off balance Inventory Finance, FI Trade, Documentary Trade (mainly but not limited to no -IT related).
Establish TF Products management framework and implement it within SMBC Americas.
Coordinate with relevant departments including Risk Management Department, Credit Department, Head office planning department etc to discuss correct risk against rule
Coordinate GTFD Global colleagues to have aligned TF Products development and management.
Support origination team from Risk Acceptance and structuring point of view.
Expertise
Ability to build and maintain a network of relationships with various internal stakeholder to create new products and establish framework
Expert knowledge of wide range of TF Products and risk profiles
Expert knowledge of bank regulations and compliance matters that adhere to the risk parameters set forth by the bank
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
Qualifications and Skills
Work Experience: 10 + years of specialized experience in Trade Finance activities and/or TF Products management
Education: Required: BA / BS
Language skills in Portuguese and/or Spanish is preferred.
