Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in New York, New York. The successful candidate will be involved in the public financial industry, conducting a variety of accounting functions and utilizing various accounting software systems. Responsibilities: Execute accurate and timely preparation of individual tax returns Leverage Accounting Software Systems to process financial data Provide support during the busy season and year-end close Conduct various accounting functions to ensure financial compliance Utilize your Tax Preparer skills to optimize financial operations Provide resolution for customer inquiries in a timely manner Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed Prepare 1120's, 1040's, & LLC Partnership returnsRequirements Proficiency in QuickBooks & Proseries preferred Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions Prior experience as a Tax Preparer Ability to prepare Individual Tax Returns Understanding and application of Individual Tax laws and regulations Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Certification or licensure as a Tax Preparer is highly desirable Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling client information Familiarity with current tax codes and regulations High level of competency in mathematics and numerical data Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot tax issues Ability to work independently and as part of a teamRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
