Established and integral NYC small music venue seeks talented and passionate talent buyer to aid in fulfilling our mission to keep live music going strong in Downtown New York.
This is a full time in person position.
WHAT WE ARE NEEDING FROM THIS POSITION
Execute and negotiate offers and deal points with leading music agencies.Research local bands and develop local stand-alone nights (ie DJ/dance nights, concerts) with an emphasis on filling nights . Respond to inbound requests from agents and artist management. Follow-up on leads from other talent buyers. Advance shows and put shows on sale on our ticketing platform etc
Negotiate offer details with music agents for artist performances. Gather all relevant information to build offer and present to artist management. Negotiate all contractual agreements between venue and artist agents. Coordinate show settlement as needed.
Oversee the marketing and ticketing of events. Confirm show details and artist requests with marketing and ticketing departments. Confirm accuracy of online announcements , and that they go out in a timely manner.
Responsible for forecast projections of events booked
Manage and maintain internal documentation as required ( calendars, ticketing, etc)
book private parties and small groups of parties for private events at our weekend club nights
attend a healthy amount of the shows you have booked to ensure smooth execution and have your hand on the pulse
Work closely with the Marketing department on promotion
Form new connections with agents and promoters to maintain high level bookings.
