A growing financial services firm is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Responsible for managing the firm's Windows or Linux server Infrastructure, including systems administration of servers, storage, and VMware environment.
- Implement new infrastructure to support the needs of the firm
- Perform day-to-day administrative functions including back-up verification, database and server monitoring to assure health of the environment and perform troubleshooting/analysis of incidents assigned by Service Desk or management team
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft and/or Linux System administration in a VMware environment
- Experience with Active Directory, Systems performance monitoring, VMware ESX server visualization expertise
- Understanding of TCP/IP protocol and ability to interpret network captures
- Backup/recovery, disaster recovery planning and execution required
- Team player and ability to work independently, strong sense of ownership and accountability
