Global Risk Review Senior Officer (Infrastructure & Strategic Projects)Global Risk Review (GRR) provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely assurance to the Boards, the Committees, the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer, the Citigroup Chief Credit Officer, senior management and regulators over the effectiveness of credit, capital and collateral risk management and the ability of the Business and independent Risk Management to identify, monitor and mitigate current and emerging risks.The Infrastructure and Strategic Projects (ISP) team oversees critical projects and leads the infrastructure and control development and implementation for the consolidated Global Risk Review organization.The GRR ISP Senior Officer will support the Head of Infrastructure and Strategic Projects (ISP) by ensuring the on-going development, enhancement and implementation of a proactive, prudent, and effective global control framework and lead key strategic projects for the organization.Developmental opportunities include experience in a high visibility, dynamic function; significant exposure to GRR’s management and global review teams; enhanced business contacts; leadership responsibilities; and direct exposure to and accountability for work products presented to the Risk Management Executive Committee, regulators and Citi’s Board of Directors.Key responsibilities:
Lead key strategic initiatives, as determined by the Head of GRR, CAO of GRR and Head of ISP, including re-engineering projects to develop processes and procedures across the GRR organization
Lead buildout of GRR’s technology infrastructure on the Citi Risk & Controls platform through managing working group of representatives across all GRR teams, developing Business Rationale Documents, coordinating User Acceptance Testing and acting as primary point of contact for technology partners
Support Head of ISP on strategic analysis of GRR’s technology target state and multi-year plan to achieve target, including work with the Chief Risk Officer of Finance team to submit all required deliverables to support budget requests
Lead development and management of comprehensive project plans for timely delivery of all ISP projects and tasks. Ensure timelines are met by escalating any concerns to the Head of ISP
Coordinate escalation and remediation of any significant control issues that may impact the effectiveness of GRR in providing an independent review of and assurance on risk management in Citi
Coordinate Global GRR training and talent development programs
Produce critical and time-sensitive deliverables for the Board of Directors, senior management, regulators, Internal Audit and external auditors
Work closely with GRR’s Office of the Chief Administrative Officer and Global Risk Review teams
Knowledge/Experience:
Demonstrable financial services experience including 10+ years of governance, operations, strategy, project management in corporate, commercial, or retail banking
Experience in the production of materials for senior audiences is preferred
Skills/Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Proven attention to detail
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority
Strong project and time management skills with the ability to successfully handle competing priorities
Energetic, responsive team player with the interest to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
BA/BS or higher in business, finance, or a related field
