We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility.Role Summary/Purpose:The Senior Vice President, Cloud Platform Technology is responsible for establishing and implementing strategy, architecture, engineering process, transformation, management, and operation of private and public cloud platform. This role will build a high-performing Technology engineering team, leading network infrastructure and data services platforms for the organization. The role will enhance the Agile transformation, automation, and reliability with security. This role will collaborate with other leaders of CTO, Engineering and Security organization to accelerate digital transformation and public cloud adoption to meet our evolving business needs and ever-changing technology landscapeThis role will act as the executive point of contact for the Cloud Platform teams to drive various new and existing technology initiatives. The role will engage across multiple functions, customers and workstreams to provide guidance and insight into the overall prioritization and integration of these initiatives. This role will partner across SYF to drive advocate technology transformation Initiatives, as well as engaging with business leaders.This is a highly visible role where strong execution, strategic thinking and Executive level communication skills are a must.This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility.Essential Responsibilities:Provide foundational architecture for private and public cloud (Compute, Storage, network, and data)
Deliver the tooling and capabilities needed to enable our cloud first strategy
Provide developer-friendly cloud onboarding, account creation and management for supported cloud providers
Create and manage standards, procedure, and governance of the cloud and data platforms
Ensure compliance to regulations and policy by implementing accurate requirements traceability
Provide cloud network services to enable a fast and resilient hybrid cloud with built in security capabilities
Responsible for ongoing stable operations of a high availability, mission-critical suite of applications.
Develop, cascade and enforce engineering best practices using Agile methodologies that enables CI/CD and favors automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure as code
Provide technical leadership in the design of highly complex cloud systems
Develop and advocate for new cloud solutions to undefined system needs
Drive client satisfaction by identifying and developing process improvement and automation initiatives while ensuring compliance of solutions to operations roadmap across diversified SYF client partners of retailers, Digital, Health, Home and auto.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, or related discipline with 10 years of Information Technology leadership experience in lieu of a the Bachelor's degree minimum of 10+ years experience in information technology
Proven track record acting as a strategic IT business partner with senior leadership and leading mission critical large, business critical IT platforms and teams
Proven experience running and building complex, internal sophisticated, mission critical platforms
Strong technical knowledge of cloud, networking and data platforms
Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity and help teams set direction and resolve conflicts
Deep domain expertise in use of cloud, networking and data technology in support of business strategy and growth in major public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP and Azure
Desired Qualifications:Exemplary core management and prioritization skills –
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact at all levels with clarity
Strong leadership and influencing skills. Experience in leading large, strategic transformational initiatives
Demonstrated ability to work with third party vendors and solution providers
Strong knowledge, experience in Payment Industry
