ONGOING DAILY HYBRID NYC BASED CONTRACT, SENIOR LEVEL ROLE- MUST HAVE 4-6+ YEARS EXPERIENCELOOKING TO FILL AN OPENING FOR THE CONSUMER/FAMILY DIVISION AND EDUCATION/TEACHERS DIVISION!Working with a top client, an iconic children's book publishing and education company looking for a Social Media Content Manager to work at a senior, strategic level to create content and copy, oversee social analytics, project management tasks, and moreTHE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for a passionate and creative social media strategist who will be responsible for assisting with storytelling across our [consumer/educator] audiences on our social media channels.Reporting to the Director of Social Media Content, the Manager of Social Media Content for CONSUMER OR EDUCATOR AUDIENCES will play a pivotal role in supporting the creation and execution of the brand's content calendar, interface with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall success of the company's social media initiatives.RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Strategy

Implement social media content strategies set by the Director of Social Media, ensuring alignment with inter-department goals, the company's core literacy mission, and overall audience needs

Participate in planning sessions for new ideas and campaigns

Assist in strategic social media projects, such as entering new social media channels or key campaigns, occasionally taking the lead

Work closely with Paid Social team to coordinate and integrate paid support into organic social strategies

Content Creation

Assist in tailoring content for diverse platforms, leveraging the unique strengths of each to drive site traffic, awareness, and engagement for programs

Translate social media strategies into well-thought, descriptive creative briefs

Support in producing copy and messaging for new social assets and posts

Work with Creative team by providing feedback and review to ensure content aligns to strategies set by the Director of Social Media

Continuous Improvement

Work with social analytics team to measure and translate content performance into actionable future strategies

Assist in setting goals based on past performance and internal partner priorities

Help produce and maintain strategy documents and debriefs

Understanding the Landscape

Stay up-to-date on current and emerging social media trends, ideating on ways they can incorporated into business goals

Serve as knowledge leader for current and emerging social platforms, understanding best practices and ways to drive goals

Provide guidance and support for social technologies (e.g. live-streaming; video recording)

HOW YOU CAN FIT - Qualifications

Passionate about books, reading, and spreading literacy worldwide

4 - 6 years experience in social media and/or marketing

Experience in education, children's media, or entertainment preferred, but not required

Experience working on the social content strategy and brand voice of a multifaceted organization across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok)

Experience implementing a successful organization-wide social media content strategy

Fluent with social media management technology, such as Sprinklr (or similar), and workflow systems such as Airtable

Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage with varied audiences. Grammar nerds welcome.

Knowledge in applying data-driven insights to content strategy, development, and continuous improvement.

Expertise with a wide range of social media content formats (written, video, static images). Bonus points for video and photo editing skills.

Highly proficient in decision-making, prioritizing, and problem-solving.
