Job DescriptionExciting opportunity at MSK: Join our team as aResearch Project Manager, Department of Surgery! We’re looking for a dynamic clinical research professional to lead data operations and develop databases for our department of surgery . Role Overview:

Manage the functions and activities of assigned projects within the research organization.

Play a key role in the development of contracts for work performed with external collaborators on associated projects.

Participate and provide oversight to efforts related to the development of new REDCap databases, existing REDCap databases as well as oversite of existing databases in other platforms (Excel, Access, etc).

Assist with high level department projects requiring data management support.

Extract, compile, and analyze data to generate reports for leadership.

Lead data abstraction team meetings and assist vendors with data curation.

Critically review analyses used for presentations, to confirm validity and accuracy.

Participate in special projects and task forces as determined by management. Support the work of investigators within MSK and Fellows to accomplish research goals.

Provide oversight and support to Clinical Research Coordinator(s), Research Project Associate(s).

Collaborate with the clinical research team to ensure databases are capturing all current cases.

Work on departmental and DMT initiatives relating to clinical research data management, specifically database management to ensure the highest quality data for the Surgery Research Program.

Have in-depth knowledge of the processes/procedures associated with clinical practice, clinical research and/or a strong information systems expertise in the latest technologies.

Key Qualifications:

2-7 years of experience in clinical research data management and/or other applicable research investigation.

Core Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Access, REDCap knowledge.

Basic SPSS required and platforms like STATA and R a plus.

Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.

Ability to solve problems by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills.

Proven ability to manage clinical research projects with strict deadlines.

Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the regulations pertaining to human subject protection and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Enthusiasm and dedication to MSK's vision, mission and values.
