Project Planning & Scheduling Specialist

AECOM Seeks a Project Planning and Scheduling Specialist III for NYC Transportation Projects to join our team in New York City. This role will be focused on transportation themed projects. This is not a telecommute/remote role.This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Review and develop schedules for the construction of highways, bridges, and railwaysProvide expert review and analysis of Contractor Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress SchedulesProvide expert review and analysis of construction schedule critical path and logic changes and milestone statusAnalyze and prepare schedule fragnets and delay event timelines for construction project delaysAnalyze, report on, recommend mitigation options and recommend responsibility for construction project delaysDevelop and/or review Suggested Preliminary Construction Schedules during the final design stage based on the available plans, specifications and estimate provided by the project designerUpdate policies, procedures, specifications of guidance related to construction scheduling and construction project managementWill use Oracle Primavera P6Lead Scheduler on major construction projectsTrain other scheduling personnel in CPM and scheduling practicesAnalyze schedule data to identify key project issuesSupport the development of plans and schedules for proposalsAssist in leading junior staff through assignment tasksAssist in tracking corrective actionsAssist in the coordination of schedule input from all parts of the organizationIdentify and assist in analysis of project schedule variances. Identifies and analyzes schedule variances and recommends associated corrective actionUpdate and produce scheduling management reportsAssist in the development and maintenance of WBS and helps insure that project coding is effectively used for all cornerstone applicationsUse drawings and specifications for schedule developmentDevelop CPM schedule logic for engineering, procurement and construction as well as command of cornerstone scheduling systemResource load schedule and perform remedial schedule risk analysisResponsible for assembling data for schedule updatingResponsible for construction contracting and the scheduling implications of contract termsMeasure progress and reviews invoices of contractorsScope control and change management and incorporate directed changes into schedule baselineResponsible for some elements of baseline schedule and associated maintenanceBasic cost analysis and forecasting as it relates to planning and schedulingAssists in performance measurement and associated schedule trendsSupports various levels of project reportingParticipates in and at times leads project planning and scheduling review meetingsAssists in procedure development and implementation
