We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join a team focused on the Advisor Center Portfolio Tools experience. BlackRock's Advisor Center helps financial advisors by providing portfolio insights and resources to help grow their practice. By offering a range of investment options and analytic tools powered by our Aladdin technology, we help advisors build portfolios that provide financial well-being to their clients. Our global product team of product managers, designers, and engineers is spread across the US, UK and India.

You will be joining a team with a start-up feel and a global impact. We work hard, enjoy each other's company during and after work, and are passionate about the potential of our technology to improve financial outcomes for clients. We are creating new software products and services for BlackRock and the wealth management industry. We are still learning how to best meet the needs of advisors, so our product roadmaps reflect a mix of evolving our core tools while also creating new capabilities. About the Role - Product Manager, Aladdin Wealth Tech - Digital Distribution Tech The role will work with teams across design, engineering, QA, legal, compliance, marketing, operations, and broader BlackRock to build products wealth professionals love and trust. We are looking for a leader with a high level of ownership and creative license to own strategy and execution of substantial portions of the platform, including: evolving existing and dreaming up new experiences that help advisors build better portfolios for their clients and integrated technology experiences with partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Depth: Exceptional ability to build products that address the needs and desires of financial advisors and their clients; includes user experience but also the complex infrastructure to support it
  • Product Enhancement: Ability to conceptualize and communicate new features or improvements. Ability to design for the user and for defensibility in a highly regulated space.
  • Ability to Execute: Drive execution against our roadmap and vision, efficiently bringing our plans and designs to real-life use. Run point on project execution, broader problem solving, and operational issues that come up day-to-day by understanding, finding root cause, designing solutions, and driving closure.
  • Research Driven: Integrate primary research, usability studies, and meticulous validation processes into your idea generation and product design process.
  • Metrics Oriented: Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products, holding yourself and your team accountable for the goals you set.
  • Technical Partnership: Partner with engineers throughout the development process from idea conception to product launch.
  • AWT & BlackRock Engagement: Establish and own clear plans for your area of ownership with consensus and excitement across key partners.
  • Talent Development: Develop and retain a strong team, offering ongoing feedback and overall career mentorship.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of product management experience
  • Experience managing a consumer facing product
  • Track record of leading projects affecting many functions (e.g. including product, engineering, operations, compliance, and sales.) Ability to direct major cross-functional initiatives with effective prioritization and influence.
  • Experience in collaborating creatively with product teams and internal and external stakeholders and partners to design and deliver tech solutions.
  • Experience collecting both internal and external customer feedback and requests, empathizing with their challenges and opportunities, and prioritizing roadmaps to optimize results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and communicate up and down the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and planning skills
  • Strong technical abilities with an ability to get in the weeds where necessary
  • Desire and ability to develop talent
  • Bachelor's degree required

Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience working within or with US wealth management or experience building for financial advisors as users
