Peacock, Global Delivery: The Global Delivery team collaborates with business, product, and developer teams to orchestrate end-to-end planning and delivery of product and technology features for the Peacock application and other global Direct-to-Consumer applications. In this role, interns assist Project and Program Managers in coordinating efforts within the Content Experience Workstream and across the Global Streaming Technology stack. Our interns gain exposure to the software development lifecycle, working alongside Product Managers, UI/UX designers, Editors, QAs, Data, and Engineering teams. Interns contribute to enhancing the Peacock user experience by supporting feature development, optimizing content engagement, and improving user experiences during video playback.
News Production Strategy: Our NBCU News Group Product and Strategy team is comprised of Leadership level, Product Managers, Product/Workflow Analysts, PMO Team, Design Team, and Developers. We are a dynamic team bringing innovative solutions to the NBCU News Group. The intern will assist in conducting user research, market trends, and competitive analysis. They’ll collaborate with product managers to gather requirements, define features, and prioritize tasks.
Project Coordinator Intern, Tech Delivery: The Project Coordinator Intern will provide project coordinator and administrative support for the Tech Delivery PMO. The Technology Delivery PMO works across and with many groups within NBCU Direct-to-Consumer division to organize, plan, and execute upon new features and enhancements within our portfolio of products. The ideal candidate for this position has exemplary planning and time management skills and can organize and manage calendars, keeping scheduling operations running smoothly and efficiently. They should be versatile learners, able to adapt to new tools and processes within our organization.
Basic Requirements:
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2024 through April 2025). December 2024 graduates are not eligible for our 2024-2025 Academic Year Program.
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
Must be authorized to work in the United States throughout the entire duration of the internship (September 2024 to April 2025). Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 16, 2024 to April 18, 2025.
Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
Desired Characteristics:
Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Familiarity with Project Management Software: Proficiency in using project management tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Smartsheet, or a willingness to quickly learn and adapt to these tools.
Some knowledge of the Product life cycle.
Experience writing high-level training documentation, step by step processes, and how-to’s.
The hourly rate for undergraduate student interns is $17.00 - $30.00The hourly rate for graduate student interns is $25.00 - $35.00INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ATTENDING U.S. UNIVERSITIES:To participate in NBCUniversal’s 2024-2025 Academic Year internship program, you must confirm at the time of interview that you will be able to provide US work authorization documentation for the entire duration of the internship.
