Job Title: Phlebotomist (bilingual) - not entry level.Please do not apply if you have less than 1.5 years of experience. Must be fluent in Mandarin and experienced with straight needles.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable and punctual phlebotomist. Phlebotomists will be working in a patient services center and will have around 40-60 patients per day. When interacting with patients, the Phlebotomist must document and update records through their internal system. Through training, the Phlebotomists will also take on additional tasks such as accessioning. Population: Adults/ GeriatricResponsibilities

Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontaminate equipment.

Update patient information as necessary.

Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.

Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture and other specimen collection processes to patients.

Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.

Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.

Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by the test order.

Check all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy.

Package specimens for transport.

Store specimen samples according to required temperatures, place samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes, accurately label, and follow necessary procedures to maintain the integrity of the specimens during transport.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 1 year of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
