PC Technician

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a PC Technician in New York. This role is primarily within the IT industry and will require the successful candidate to perform a series of technical tasks at a specific location. Responsibilities: Installation of computer monitors at designated locations Ensuring all installed monitors are functioning correctly and troubleshooting any issues that arise Collaborating with other team members to execute tasks within the stipulated time frame Maintaining a record of all installed equipment for inventory purposes Adhering to safety guidelines and procedures while performing installations Providing technical support and guidance to users when needed Ensuring all equipment and work areas are kept clean and organized Reporting any technical issues and user difficulties to the appropriate department Keeping up-to-date with technological advancements and industry trends Managing any other technical duties as assigned by the team lead. Requirements Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification Proven experience as a PC technician or relevant role Knowledge of computer systems and IT components Familiarity with LAN/WAN networks and TCP/IP protocols Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication abilities Ability to work well in teams and independently when required Experience with various operating systems including Windows, Linux, macOS Familiarity with different types of computer monitors and their operation Must be able to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
