OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE HFH is seeking a proactive and detailed-oriented, Operations Associate to join its Central Office team. Under the supervision of the Chief of Staff, this role will assist with both day-to-day Operations functions and with the implementation of a wide array of agency projects. We are looking for a candidate that is willing to take initiative, have a creative approach to problem solving, and is able work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to promote efficiency and effectiveness within the Organization. ABOUT HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS, INC. Homes for the Homeless, Inc. (HFH) is a non-profit social services organization operating family shelters throughout NYC. These shelters serve as a hub of opportunity for families both residing in shelter as well as those in the neighboring community. Our On-site programs range from early childhood education centers, afterschool clubs and programs, housing assistance, case management, parenting workshops, career and job vocational training, support groups and substance abuse assistance, and family engagement and recreation events for the whole family. We invite you to visit our website, www.hfhnyc.org, to learn more about our programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, work as requested on both agency wide and area-specific initiatives and projects.

Support Chief of Staff and Executive team in coordinating and managing various projects and initiatives across departments, with a focus on Building Operations and Recruitment.

Collaborate with Recruitment team to facilitate the hiring process for various positions within the organizations.

Collaborate with the Building Operations team to support certain administrative projects, such as preparation of reports, service agreement trackers, and special projects.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and exercise discretion in handling organizational matters.

Communicate as requested with a variety of internal and external parties, including but not limited to staff in the field, agency consultants, vendors and service providers, and agency representatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree preferred or two years of relate experience.

Ability to take charge and propose solutions.

Ability to think creatively and think big picture.

Strong Interpersonal skills. Have a flexible and positive work attitude.

Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.

Proficient knowledge of MS Office (proficiency in Excel is required)
