Find your place in finance on #TeamAmex.How will you make an impact in this role?The American Express National Bank (AENB) Treasury team within Global Treasury at American Express (AXP) is responsible to drive sound balance sheet management to support the Bank’s business strategy and in accordance with regulatory requirements. In order to do this, they work closely with process area experts including Treasury, Controllership, Corporate Planning, Center for Community Development, and Technologies to measure, monitor, and report the Bank’s funding, investment, liquidity, and market risk activities. The team maintains robust governance practices and processes, drives process enhancements, engages in automation/technology initiatives, and considers evolving regulatory expectations, while supporting the long-term growth of the Bank.As a member of the AENB Treasury team, the Manager will have a unique opportunity to work across Treasury and Finance functional areas to support balance sheet governance. The Manager will focus on committee governance compliance, ensuring appropriate policy and procedural documentation, maintaining access to contingent funding facilities, evaluating new product initiatives, improving existing processes, and integrating evolving business and regulatory needs. This role requires attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to identify and communicate linkages across functional areas and teams.Key Responsibilities:

Oversee funding activities for AENB, including funding plans, funding programs, and related policies and procedures.

Assist in developing AENB liquidity strategies and policies, in compliance with regulatory guidance related to liquidity risk management and contingency funding plans, including liquidity requirements, intraday monitoring, cashflow forecasting, and balance sheet forecasting and reporting.

Manage and support the pledging of assets to maintain contingent funding access.

Support analysis of new products and product changes to evaluate market, liquidity, and capital impacts for AENB.

Ensure AENB balance sheet processes are well controlled and documented, while driving ongoing improvements and enhancements.

Oversee reporting and analysis for AENB interest rate risk, including risk limit monitoring and policy and procedure compliance.

Oversee finance activities related to AENB investments, including portfolio and decision support, reporting, and policy development.

Collaborate with colleagues across Treasury to drive results, meaningful analytics, and insights.

Produce reporting and analytics for senior management, the Asset/Liability Management Committee (ALCO) and sub-committees, and the AENB Board of Directors on treasury and other finance-related topics.

Support internal control group reviews and Bank regulatory exams.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage processes and drive improvements.

Results oriented with the ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and time management.

Self-motivated, pro-active individual with excellent attention to detail.

Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

Intellectually curious with experience leading, supporting, and influencing across process areas.

Exceptional verbal/written communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages.

Preferred Qualifications

Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or finance.

3-5 years Finance/Treasury experience.

Understanding of balance sheet and treasury risks areas and bank regulations.

QualificationsEmployment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
