The Human Resources Generalist will be pivotal in recruitment, onboarding, HRIS management, and the overall employee life cycle. We operate in a fast-pace, dynamic environment that requires critical thinking, flexibility, excellent customer service, and the ability to execute quickly. RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment & Onboarding

Work closely withthe Talent Acquisition Manager to assist with the full cycle recruitment process.

Source/screen candidates, create pipelines, interview scheduling, create offer letters, and manage background checks.

Ensure a seamless onboarding experience by developing and implementing processes that will be key to the employee's success from day one.

Coordinate and facilitate orientations, set up new hires in various HR systems, I-9 verifications, and working closely with IT for equipment/systems access.

HRIS Management:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.

Generate reports and analyze HR data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.

Create job profiles, location codes, and manage open/replacement positions.

Processing promotions, terminations, job changes, and any other employee transactions.

Employee Relations

Work alongside other members of the HR team to serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR-related issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.

Conduct investigations into employee complaints/concerns and recommends appropriate courses of action.

HR Policy and Compliance:

Assist with the development, implementation, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations and update policies accordingly.

Administration

Provide daily support to employees in various HR related topics and resolve any issues that may arise.

Works in conjunction with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO) services provider to oversee unemployment claims, employment verifications, etc.

Ownership of the off-boarding process, including exit interviews, coordinating with IT, and separation letters where applicable.

In conjunction with finance, reviews payroll and resolves any pay discrepancies.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of recent HR/Recruiting experience in a corporate environmentrequired.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. P&C insurance knowledge is a bonus.

Experience working with HCM and ATS systems (Workday, Prism, JazzHR).

Basic understanding of payroll and related laws.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Customer service oriented, able to multi-task, and handle large volume of transactions.

Collaborative team player capable of working a team environment.

Able to maintain confidential information at all times.

LOCATION

New York City - Hybrid

COMPENSATION AND PERKS

$75,000 - $90,000 base salary plus bonus. Salary commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.

Summer Fridays (Leave at 2:00PM allFridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day).
