Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity (potential to hire) for a Help Desk Analyst II in the education industry, located in New York. The role involves providing technical support in a predominantly Mac OS environment, using a variety of software and systems. Responsibilities: Offer technical assistance to users operating within a 99% Mac OS environment Utilize Citrix Technologies for remote access and server software solutions Maintain and troubleshoot Database systems as required Operate EO/IR systems for data collection and analysis Use Lotus Notes for email communication and scheduling Apply knowledge of Microsoft software to assist users Manage Active Directory to control network access Handle Computer Hardware issues, including setup and configuration Undertake Configuration Management to ensure system security and efficiency Provide Deskside Support for immediate troubleshooting Oversee Desktop Hardware management, including setup and maintenance.Requirements Proficiency in Citrix Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, Lotus Notes, Microsoft, Active Directory, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Deskside Support, Desktop Hardware, and Mac OS. Relevant experience in an education industry setting is desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on one's feet. Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with a variety of individuals at different technical skill levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong understanding of networking concepts and operating systems. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team. Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours if required. Continual learning mindset and a passion for technology.
