Head of CLO Syndication and OriginationNew York, United States of AmericaThe candidate will lead the distribution of all new issue CLO transactions through syndication of the debt offerings. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for partnering with internal sales, structuring, trading, and banking teams to lead the origination of CLO transactions.Essential Functions/ Responsibility Statements:
Lead the syndication of CLO transactions to achieve successful distribution of transactions while minimizing the risk of underwriting to Santander.
Coordinate internally with Securitized Products sales, CLO structuring and trading, and Leveraged Loan sales and trading teams regarding CLO new issue transactions.
Build relationships with and maintain on-going coverage of key CLO investors globally, in coordination with sales coverage, to determine market demand for transactions and to generate reverse inquiry opportunities.
Provide ongoing market color and investor feedback to CLO managers and to sales and trading desks.
Develop relationships with and maintain on-going coverage of key US CLO managers, in coordination with sales coverage and the sales and trading teams.
Responsible for the origination of new issue CLO transactions through CLO manager relationship, idea generation, and market presence.
Build and coordinate a regular pipeline of CLO primary transactions across new issue, refinancings, and resets.
Help oversee negotiation of transaction terms include warehouse documents, engagement letters, and transaction structures.
Work with CLO structuring teams as necessary to prepare internal materials for transaction approvals.
Drive growth of the CLO franchise through generating new issue CLO mandates by connecting CLO mangers and debt and equity investors.
Build external brand awareness of the Santander CLO franchise through investor and manager outreach, conference participation, and client events.
Partner closely with internal global teams across sales, banking, capital markets, and wealth management to help educate, develop, and advise clients on the CLO market.
