About the RoleThe security organization at Uber is dedicated to enabling safe and secure innovation while protecting the communities we serve both online and in the physical world. Our teams are responsible for protecting both people and their data across intersections of the digital and physical world. In Global Security, our mission is to keep our people safe. We monitor global events and incidents, assess risk, and identify threats. Using a data-driven, risk-based approach, we assign security support, allocate resources and design processes to protect our people and assets.We are looking for a security professional to help us manage risk before the problem arises, as well as manage incidents. We need a person who is ready to roll up their sleeves to protect the foundation of this company it's people.The role requires flexibility with evening, weekend, and travel responsibilities.What You'll Do
Provide executive protection and other security support to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and the Board of Directors of Uber.
Work closely with other security professionals as part of a team to ensure that safety and security are always prioritized and maintained.
Be available to respond directly to any/all security-related incidents or emergencies on a 24/7 basis.
Help develop and implement strategies that align with business needs to provide security support to our executives.
Conducted complex domestic and international security advances for our CEO, ELT, BOD, and other senior executives.
Conduct threat assessments.
Assist in planning and executing large-scale company-sponsored events to ensure the safety and security of all guests.
Liaise with the executives and support staff to address and mitigate security concerns.
Provide security and contingency training to key personnel as needed.
Develop and implement personnel safety programs for the home, office, and travel.
Assist with the planning and scheduling of corporate flights and ground transportation.
Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in protective services/executive protection and/or state/federal law enforcement or military.
Experience working with C-level personnel and their executive assistants.
Ability to travel in support of the mission, sometimes on short notice, both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing contract security services.
CPR/AED certified

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$90,000 per year - USD$100,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
