Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Energy Intern to be based in New York, NY.This position is expected to begin in May 2024.This team works on a variety of, building decarbonization, transportation electrification, fleet conversion, planning, resilience, and energy efficiency initiatives for municipal, utility, and private clients. Example topics covered by this team include electric vehicle (EV) readiness planning, energy master planning, energy audits, and electrification studies. This role will also require an understanding of market trends, advances in technology, and the ability to develop innovative concepts (e.g. electric shared mobility).This role will also integrate within AECOM’s other Energy offerings, which include climate action planning, sustainability planning, smart street lighting, smart sensors and networks, microgrids, distributed generation, energy efficiency, district energy systems, net-zero buildings, and communities, monitoring base commissioning infrastructure, energy-water nexus, and coordinated infrastructure investment.Job responsibilities include:

Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Intern 3 – completion of three years of qualified study.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

Must have completed 3 years of study in the applicable program.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, high-proficiency with Excel.

Ability to work with different levels of both technical and administrative personnel.

High comfort level with quantitative analysis, particularly under tight time constraints.

Excellent communicator including the desire to ask questions and learn from co-workers.

Ability to prioritize tasks with a commitment to completing tasks with urgency and within established deadlines.

Working Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power Bi and Office 365 apps such as Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint Design.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
