A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.This role is a critical and valuable member of the Business Management and Strategy team, Office of the CIO-Americas. The team serves as a COO function for the technology department. In that mandate, a Director level position is expected to lead or support any related functions, including, but not limited to:Responsibilities:Tech Business Management Strategy:

Partners with leadership in the Americas and Global IT to develop and maintain the business strategy for Information Technology for the Americas (ITA), driving effectiveness, efficiency, and business transformation.

Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure strategic goals align with employee performance expectations and rewards.

Focuses on internal customers (employees and business units), streamlining business processes and breaking down barriers to align with business priorities, use automation, gain efficiencies, and enable an ambitious business.

Provides strategic mentorship and advisory services, promoting partnership among functions across ITA with key partners across the firm.

Tech Financial Planning and Cost Controls:

Develops and implements strategies to increase the company's bottom line.

Works with ITA Leadership and the Finance team to monitor and control financial spend: actuals vs. budget, reports variances, finds opportunities to optimize spend, and increases financial efficiency.

Ensures regular review and transparency of financials.

Creates tactical financial plans at L3/L4 level, acting as IT liaison with Finance.

Tracks and drives delivery of commitments related to Mid-Term Business Plan (MTBP) strategic initiatives and cost savings.

Assesses contract-level details to assign savings and drives financial discipline.

Curates MTBP initiative summary sheets and tracks identified-to-booked savings.

Transfer pricing effort and coordination with L3s and Finance.

Service catalog, building out a robust IT unit costing model.

Operating Model:

Supports monthly Investment Council.

Links EPMO, Workforce Management, and Budget to align with the fixed capacity model.

Assists project and IT teams with solutions related to the new operating model.

Workforce Planning and Location Strategy:

Leads on- and offshoring workforce planning, including employees and contingent workers.

Owns RTO and domestic location strategy, working with CWS on RTO assignments, space, and logistics plans, and managing all questions for ITA to CWS.

Location strategy (domestic and offshore) including HR reporting and tracking against forecast.

Workforce analytics and RCT controls.

IT Product Catalog Third-Party Controls:

Serves as the primary point-of-contact for third-party technology and service providers.

Partners with sourcing to build and maintain a comprehensive record of all technology suppliers and delivery commitments.

Provides clear insight into vendor spend, maintenance renewals, and other external costs.

Provides input into vendor risk assessment and handles ongoing vendor monitoring and tracking.

Communication, Governance, Leadership, and Management:

Managerial Responsibilities: Manages a team of resources, providing mentorship and talent development/coaching

Designs and leads an effective information architecture to ensure efficient preparation and review cycles.

Recommends and implements a clear process for the efficient flow of information within the broader ITA organization and towards leadership teams and executive committees.

Oversees business performance and management reporting through channels such as quarterly business reviews and executive presentations.

Liaises with and ensures ITA alignment with Home Office strategies and goals.

Bridges the gap between IT and the business through systematic communication.

Ensures adherence to internal risk practices, strategies, and policies across all operating groups.

Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and the operationalization of standards, policies, and processes to identify, report, and mitigate operational risk exposures.

Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant leadership experience in technology.

Preferred experience in a financial services firm or within a technology or operations division.

Effective in a team environment; able to address conflicts appropriately and build productive partnerships with customers, business partners, and stakeholders.

Exceptional communication skills, capable of building relationships and ensuring effective communication at all levels of the organization.

Expert in crafting senior-level presentations tailored to the audience.

Ability to grasp new technology paradigms rapidly and assess them using deep and broad technology experience.

Skilled in hiring, mentoring, developing, and supervising highly skilled teams and maintaining relationships with industry experts.

Experience in bringing together diverse groups to solve complex problems in a collegial atmosphere.

Ability to think big, act fast with a start-up mentality, and operate effectively in a corporate environment.

Insatiable desire to learn and push the envelope of current practices and technologies.

The typical base range for this role is between $200K and 250K per year depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
