Data Analyst

Description We are on the lookout for a Data Analyst based in New York, New York. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is eager to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating and interpreting complex datasets, creating data models to address business problems, and communicating findings to stakeholders. This role offers an opportunity for short term contract employment.Responsibilities: Evaluate and interpret complex datasets to gain insights and support business decisions. Develop and implement data collection systems that optimize efficiency and data quality. Create data models to address business issues. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis. Communicate findings to stakeholders through reports and presentations. Monitor and audit data quality. Liaise with IT to ensure system compatibility and data integrity. Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices. Continually develop technical and analytical skills.Requirements Candidate must have a proven track record in data analysis Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented mindset are required Candidate must possess excellent problem-solving skills Familiarity with data management and data cleaning techniques Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science is preferred Familiarity with other data analysis tools and software would be a plus Understanding of data privacy standards and regulations Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills Knowledge of data modeling and forecasting is beneficial.
