Description We are in the market for a Controller to join our team in the real estate development and investment industry based in New York, New York, United States. In this role, you will manage all aspects of project and corporate accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of books for tax accountants across all owned entities Manage the preparation and distribution of financials for equity partners, including K1’s Coordinate and control the budgets for all projects, liaising with project managers on any changes and distinguishing between hard costs and soft costs Provide bank-required documents on a regular basis, including monthly, quarterly, and annually Handle requisitions, also known as loan draws Supervise and prepare cash flows, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Oversee capital calls to ensure proper execution Handle HR functions including hiring, payroll, and benefits administration Maintain confidentiality of the owner's business and personal information Secure DOB (Department of Buildings) approvals for the owner Manage office operations to ensure smooth running of the workplace. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Demonstrated experience in auditing procedures Familiarity with budget processes and financial planning Experience in accounting for construction projects Ability to manage and process requisitions effectively Expertise in cash flow analysis and management Capability to produce accurate cash flow forecasts Experience in preparing and presenting cash flow reports Knowledge in developing and interpreting cash flow statements Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
