Job DescriptionAre you a professional with financial compliance background in Research Administration? If you’re looking for your next challenge, our Monitoring & Outreach (M&O) team is looking to onboard aCompliance Manager (CM). This position is a fully remote role with no on-site time, consistent with the overall unit. An individual may request for a hybrid option to allow some travel to campus. M&O is responsible for developing and maintaining internal monitoring, reporting, and auditing processes in support of lifecycle sponsored programs compliance, with a focus on financial compliance. Join us! You will:

Analyze and conduct reviews of financial data or effort-related data to ensure data integrity, compliance with federal regulations, and/or sponsor terms and conditions and/or institutional policies and procedures.

Review fund and/or cost center deficits monthly and identifies cost centers and/or funds with deficits that require remediation.

Work with Finance/Grants and Contracts Accounting, Research Finance Managers, and other Office of Research Project Administration Unit Leaders units, as needed, to resolve outstanding issues.

Review allowability of high-risk transactions (e.g., research core facility charges, patient care expense, etc.) and work with appropriate personnel/units to resolve unallowed costs.

Prepare reports of funds with expenses post-grant close-out process for resolution.

Monitor the effort reporting system to help ensure effort forms are reviewed and certified within specified timeframes

Review SKI cost transfers to determine appropriateness with federal regulations, maintain files and supervise key information and status

Assist with responses to external auditors.

Stay current on issues and potential changes that may impact policies and procedures and assist with revising/updating documentation accordingly

You have:

At least 5+ years in Research Administration in a healthcare or university setting or equivalent experience.

Financial compliance experience or experience within a post-award or grant and contract accounting office.

Knowledge of cost principles of the Public Health Service (PHS), Office of Management and Budget and Uniform Mentorship.

Ability to develop, facilitate, and orchestrate effective communication with all of ORPA, Finance, and other institutional partners.

Solid experience interacting with all levels of staff including administration and institutional leaders.

Experience with accounting systems, relational database tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Office.

Pay Range $88,800.00-$142,200.00
