- Seeking an Engineer to augment existing design engineering staff in support of projects relating to electrical substation facility modifications, site work, spill containment, and equipment upgrades and replacements, etc.
- The applicant shall be tasked with performing structural analysis and designs for building components of masonry, concrete, steel, aluminum, and timber construction.
- Typical projects include design of foundations, small buildings, and equipment supports.
- The engineer shall be responsible for developing scopes of work, and calculations to support designs.
- Additional duties shall also apply.
- Bachelors degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering (MS degree preferred)
- 10 years relevant engineering work experience (P.E. license preferred)
- Computer Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Enercalc; Mathcad; and Staad Pro is required
- Requires strong knowledge in the design of foundations, concrete, masonry, and steel structures.
- Must have a working knowledge and proficiency in the use of design codes such as ACI, AISC, ASCE, NYC and NYS Building Codes, etc., and ensure compliance with them including in the preparation of design calculations and code checks
