As an integral part of the Global Equities Business Management team, the main focus of the Americas Equities Sales CAO/Business Manager is to provide support to the Americas Head of Sales and the extended Sales Management team within the region. The role covers a range of daily, weekly and monthly activities as well as helping drive key strategic initiatives / business priorities. The function interacts with all three regions of the business in Sales and requires continued partnership will all aspects of the Sales support functions including Client Management, Finance, Technology, Risk & Control, and Equity Strategy.Key elements of the role include leveraging client analytics across the Equities business including data analysis and recommendations, driving sales attribution across each region and product, and being involved in helping to drive usage and improvements within the Citi’s internal reporting and profitability models.In addition to this, the role will also require a high level of presentation skills and the ability to collate weekly and monthly packs for review with Management. This will not only include revenue reporting but also intensity metrics as we look at the provision of Advisory services to our client base.The position will be very involved in the external reporting of client metrics to third-party vendors and will need to ensure data is produced on an accurate and timely basis.The position reports directly to the Americas Equities CAO.Key Responsibilities:Business Development
Work with Global Business Management team for Sales and the Global Sales Management team to understand and develop the ongoing strategy of the business. Work with all the related infrastructure groups to ensure the strategy can be successfully implemented, on time and on budget.
Lead efforts around priority account programs and internal account reviews
Work with Operations and Technology to ensure systems, platforms and processes are standardized and developed to meet business needs
Financials
Work on the annual budgeting process across sales
Monitor daily, MTD and YTD CV metrics
Analyze monthly business performance (Revenues, Expenses, B/S, Returns, Headcount and ratios). Understand variances and take appropriate action to address
Support Regional/Global CAO teams in providing metrics to be used by the Sales Management team
Communication
Develop presentation material for meetings with seniors managers, support functions
Support monthly/quarterly business reviews and other forums across products
Knowledge/Experience:
Significant exposure to all equity products and related support/control functions
Track record for implementing or managing large projects
8-10 years of experience in financial markets
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) at all organizational levels
Results/task orientated with excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities
Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously
Ability to delegate key tasks well and manage a team
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
